Our God did not bring about
creation using the strategy of an architect or the designs of an engineer.
Rather, his creation came from the manner of an artist painting a masterpiece.
His work of creation was like that of a composer writing a harmonious
symphony. Projects like these take months, perhaps years of planning, yet God
spoke......and it happened.
God had one statement at the
completion of each day of creation. "It is good." In fact, at
the end of the 6th day,
"God saw everything
he had made and it was very good." Genesis 1:31
Scan through Genesis 1
and select from the things made, those things you appreciate the most. Hard to
do isn't it? Everything that was created in the formation of the world, was
leading toward a purpose and a fulfillment......including YOU! And God is still
in the business of "good things."
Think for a moment about the
contrast between darkness and light. Have you experienced dark moments in your
life? Then you know how to appreciate His marvelous light. "It is very
good."
Today spend some time recalling
past problems, habits or sins. Then remember the relief of experiencing
forgiveness. "It is very good."
We know this
life offers the bumps and bruises of struggle, and sometimes tragedy. Think
about how God has brought you through the adversity and into His victory. "It
is very good."
