Do You Want to Get Close to God?

We are using this weekend to get closer to God.  Is it possible?  Is it something you desire?  Can it be done in a weekend?

The Apostle Paul answers each of those questions with a resounding "YES!"  When he was preaching in Athens, a portion of his text reveals the way to get closer to the Lord.

From Acts 17:24-27 he says,  “The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. ²⁵ And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. ²⁶ From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. ²⁷ God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us."

Use the graphic above and take it one line at a time, dwelling on the aspects where you are already strong, or on those where you need to be stronger.  Be sure and consider each one and how it may be manifest through your life.
