The quote is from Jesus'
conversation with the woman at the well.
After looking at all the things he told her (you can read the entire
conversation in John 4,) Jesus revealed she could receive from him "living
water" which would become a fountain of eternal life.
Let's find some time this weekend
to read what God has to tell us about eternal life. As the eyes of your heart are enlightened on
this subject, renew your commitment to the Lord as you desire and even
anticipate the eternal life he promises.
Here are some verses to get you started.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and
only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
"I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of
God so that you may know that you have eternal life. This is the
confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his
will, he hears us." 1 John
5:13-14
"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is
the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But
small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find
it." Matthew 7:13-14
“Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for
the sheep. 8 All
who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not
listened to them. 9 I
am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved.
They will come in and go out, and
find pasture. 10 The
thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have
life, and have it to the full."
John 10:7-10
